CenĀ­tral FloriĀ­da Fares Well at Braves Classic

Four members of the UCF wrestling squad placed in the tough UNC-Pembroke Braves Classic on Sunday November 12 featuring some of the top programs in the southeast portion of the United States ranging from NJCAA to NCAA-D1. Jacob Toledo defeated fellow teammate Tim Sakow 7-2 at 125 on his way to placing 5th. Sakow is currently ranked #1 in the NCWA at 125.

Others placing for the Golden Knights included Matthew Seymour (5th-157), Clay Perry (4th-165), and Jesse Gaudin (5th-285).

Showing how tough the top teams in the NCWA truly are, the UCF team amassed the following records against other associations' members:

vs. NCAA-D1 (5-9)

vs. NCAA-D2 (7-6)

vs. NAIA (5-2)

vs. NJCAA (1-1)

The Golden Knights look to bolster there already impressive resume heading into the National Duals selection period, which will decide the top-16 NCWA-D1 squads to compete on January 26-27, 2018 at Liberty University. Based on the season so far, UCF is looking like a #1 seed.
