LAS VEGAS, NV. – On Saturday, February 9th the OUAZ Wrestling team took a trip up to University of Nevada, Las Vegas for the Desert Mountain Tournament. Coach DeJarnett was proud of the teams strong showing as 5 of the 9 wrestlers completing placed. “We had a lot of guys wrestle well this tournament. This weekend was a reminder as to how far we still need to go until the national qualifier. There is going to be a lot of work ahead of us in these weeks leading up to nationals.”

Tournament Info:
Cody Ferrara placed 1st, Ruben Mendez and Adan Mijares placed 2nd. Tim Wysocki and Justin Wood placed 3rd.

Highlights:
OUAZ Wrestler Ferrara was the Champion in the 149 pound division.
