There is a new #1 team for the Women's Division. The rankings for the women's division have been updated and will soon be added to the NCWA website under the rankings heading.
The new rankings for the NCWA Women's Division have been released (see full rankings HERE).
The new top team in the land is Grays Harbor College with a total of 10-ranked wrestlers. Previous #1 SW Oregon CC is currently ranked #2 but this may change once their WCWA season is completed and the team has more interaction with the other Northwest Conference teams. Overall the Northwest Conference appears to be the powerhouse for the Women's Division with the top-3 teams and 4 in the top-15. The biggest move in the team rankings was by Schreiner University (TX, Southwest Conference) as they moved up from 13th to #5 after strong showings in the UNT Invite and EZ-Flex Southwest Scuffle.
The top women at each weight include: 101 - Maria Reyes (Fr, Big Bend CC), 109 - Ivy Navarro (So, SWOCC), 116 - Cynthia Ramirez (So, Grays Harbor), 123 - KaMele Sanchez (Sr, Colorado State), 130 - Marina Goocher (Sr, Michigan-Dearborn), 136 - Tara Linneman (So, Springfield Tech), 143 - Shannon Ripley (Jr, Husson), 155 - Maxine Knetter (Jr, Wisconsin), 170 - Cendall Manley (Jr, Liberty), and 191 - Leilani Camargo-Naone (So, Midland).
These rankings will be kept on the Rankings site here on ncwa.net/rankings moving forward. Check back after National Duals to see if anything has changed!
