MIT’s Skag­gs Places Third at Jim Aguiar

The MIT wrestling team traveled to Plymouth State University on Saturday, January 12th to compete at the Jim Aguiar Invitational. MIT finished in 10th place as a team. Freshman, 125 pounder Keith Skaggs was 4 and 1 on the day finishing in 3rd place. Keith lost his first match and then won 4 straight and in the process defeated the wrestler who beat him in the first round. He greatly improved from match to match. Jacob Adams went 2 and 2 at 149 pounds. Jonathon Brown went 1 and 1 at heavyweight and had to default out due to an ankle injury. Frank Soucy lost 2 hard fought matches at 174. The team travels to Mesquite, Nevada next Thursday, January 26th to compete at the NCWA National Duals. Wrestling starts Friday, January 25th at 10 am MST.
