There is a new sheriff in town and it turns out it's the old sheriff as well. Two-time defending National Champion Emmanuel College (SEC) has taken over the #1 spot from perennial contender UCF. Ten of the eleven weight classes remain stable at the top with the same #1 wrestlers as in late November. The only new #1 is at 149 where Freshman standout Zach Blevins of the University of Toledo took over but is followed closely by another Freshman, Nick Puliti of Temple University.

The top-10 for NCWA-D1 stand as #1 Emmanuel (50), #2 Central Florida (42), #3 Grand Valley State (39), #4 Middle Tennessee State (38), #5t Liberty (35), #5t Springfield Tech (35), #7 Toledo (30), #8 Queens - Charlotte (28), #9 BYU (26), and #10 Apprentice (24).

The only teams in the top-10 not competing in the National Duals on January 26-27 at Liberty University will be Queens and BYU (who will be competing in the Regional Duals in Las Vegas). Liberty and Apprentice will look to buffer their rankings after impressive 2nd and 4th place finishes at the Virginia Duals this past weekend. For Nationals, team points garnered from the National Duals are added to the individual points amassed during the year-end tournament to crown an overall National Team Champion.

The top-5 for NCWA-D2 are #1t Akron and Ohio State WC, #3 James Madison, #4 UConn, and #5 East Carolina.
