2019 NCWA NationĀal Duals set for Mesquite, Nevada

The NCWA will travel out west for the first time in its 11-year history of the National Duals in the current format. Originated at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN in 2009, the Dual Tournament has worked its way through Georgia and Virginia en route to Nevada!

Last year's field of teams will join forces with the Best of the West in the new "odd/even" format of the National Duals. Starting in 2019, the National Duals will be held in the western portion of the country in odd years with the Regional Duals held in the eastern portion of the country (this year held in Murfreesboro, TN by host MTSU). The hosting sites will switch back in 2020 with the east hosting the National Duals and west hosting the Regional Duals.

Liberty will look to repeat as National Dual Champions after defeating now-NCAA-D2 Emmanuel College in the 2018 finals match 30-15. Guaranteed a spot in the 16-team field will be Grand Valley State University, which has finished in the top-6 in all 11 years of the current format, was the 2009 National Dual Champion, and was the 2007 and 2008 NWCA Duals Champions in the previous format. Joining the guaranteed field will be Springfield Tech (MA), Central Florida, and Apprentice along with a spot from the West Coast Conference (serving as host).
