Emmanuel and NCWA Individuals Find Success at Georgia Open
The Georgia Open hosted by 2x defending NCWA National Champion Emmanuel College was the site of the latest triumph for the NCWA as wrestlers from Emmanuel, Florida, Middle Tennessee, South Florida, Tennessee, North Georgia, Georgia Southern, Florida A&M, and Florida State attacked the field. Three wrestlers donning the NCWA attire won the tournament out of the 10 weight classes with 285 having 31 wrestlers in the bracket (maybe they could use a 235 weight class...).
Placers in the tough tournament were as follows:
133 - Byron Smith (Middle Tennessee, 4-1, 3rd), Emery Cline (Emmanuel, 3-2, 7th)
141- Tyler Sage (Florida, 4-0, 1st), Michael Harris (Emmanuel, 4-1, 2nd), Dalton Flint (Emmanuel, 4-2, 4th), Dylan Carlile (Emmanuel, 3-2, 5th)
157 - Jay Sheppard (Emmanuel, 5-0, 1st), Hunter Quinn (Emmanuel, 3-1, 2nd), Chandler Saine (Emmanuel, 4-1, 3rd), Kevin Almond (Emmanuel, 8th)
165 - Calvin Nimely (Emmanuel, 6th)
174 - Melvin Nimely (Emmanuel, 4-2, 5th), Colton McMahan (Emmanuel, 3-3, 6th)
184 - Seth Bell (Emmanuel, 8th)
197 - Richard Walker (Emmanuel, 4-1, 3rd)

Overall, NCWA wrestlers across the brackets finished with a 80-89 record on the day.
