The UCSB Wrestling Club ventured north for its first dual meet of the season against the Fresno State Bulldogs. The Gauchos ended up losing 26-13, but gained valuable experience for our young squad. Matt Pham defeated FSU's Christian Aguilar at 133, while Evan Marschall scored a major decision against Jovany Gonzalez at 149, and Khalil Droubi earned a forfeit at 141. Jake Lazich (157), Wesley Peery (174) and Zach Zimmerman (184) lost tough matches against their opponents, but forfeits by UCSB at the higher weights sealed the match. As always, Fresno State hosted an excellent match. Next up: USC and CSU San Marchos scheduled for Nov. 19.
