MIT Captain Lowman Wins Ted Reese Invitational
The MIT Wrestling Team traveled to the Ted Reese Invitational in Gorham Maine on December 3rd. MIT finished in 10th place. Senior, captain, Joe Lowman won the 197 pound weight class in dominating fashion. Joe was 3 and 0 on the day with 1 technical fall and 2 pins. This is Joe’s first tournament win. Joe was on a mission. He was attacking and pressuring his opponents right off the whistle and would not let up until the match was over. Coach Bosco said this is the best Joe has looked in his 4 years at MIT. Junior, Matt Chun was 1 and 2 on the day with a technical fall. Junior Raoul Khouri was also 1 and 2 on the day with a pin. Sophomore, Frank Soucy wrestled tough going 0 and 2 on the day. Freshman, Ryan Shubert wrestled well, losing 2 close matches going 0 and 2 on the day. This was the teams last competition of the semester as they get ready for finals. The teams next competition will be at the Williams Open in Williamstown, Massachusetts on Saturday, January 7th. The team and coaches wish you all a very happy holiday season and a happy new year.
