Former DeLand wrestler Stuart Maddox won the NCWA national title in the 235-pound weight class this past weekend in Allen, Texas.

The North Florida wrestler defeated Libertys Evan Canady 5-3 in the final.

Maddox, who graduated from DeLand in 2010, is a three-time All-American and majoring in Criminal Justice.
