Two of Liberty Universities highest-profile wrestling recruits share interesting ties to current and former Flames in the program.
Incoming 157-pounder Michael Bryant wrestled at the same high school, William Byrd in Vinton, Va., as 2012 NCWA national champion and 2013 runner-up Aaron Thompson. Bryant won a Virginia High School League state title his junior year before earning All-American status with a top-eight finish in Greco-Roman wrestling at the Junior & Cadet National Championships
