Orr Takes AugĀgie Brute Adidas Title

With a short squad the Winona State Warriors headed to Minneapolis to do battle with 350 wrestlers from 20 teams. Brackets were set up and the Warrior wrestlers had some favorable bracket placements. Steve Patterson, wrestling at 285, lost his first match but was able to wrestle back to the consolation championship match where he fell just short against fellow NCWA foe Ryan Karl from UM-Duluth 3-1.
Dylan Orr ended up in the same bracket and was able to march to a title winning his 3 matches with one pin and two major decisions. Eric Weigel wrestled tough but lost his first match of the day and was forced out of the tournament with an injury. The WSU Warriors will likely head to Moorhead MN in two weeks for the last event of the fall season but will crank it back up again in early January.
