Coach Ray promotes Junior High Program

EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - David Ray was the guest of honor at John Evans Middle School in Potosi, Mo., attending the school's first-ever wrestling meet.
Potosi R-3 school district started a middle school wrestling program and will follow that up by starting a high school program next year.
Ray spoke to a crowd of more than 400 fans at the Nov. 28 meet which featured teams from Potosi, Farmington, and DeSoto. Ray complimented the community and school for their decision to start a program and encouraged the wrestlers to watch for the many things the sport of wrestling can teach them about life.
"It was truly an honor to have a man of his caliber in the sport of wrestling come join us on this special occasion," said Mike Fletchall, Potosi's wrestling coach.
