Wildcats Fall Short 31-21 to Apprentice in Home Opener

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. The Pennsylvania College of Technology wrestling team dropped its home opener 31-21 to The Apprentice School Friday night. The Wildcats had leads in the match, but some forfeits and a key pin dealt the team its first loss of the season. For Penn College, junior Tyler Myers (Centre Hall) pinned his opponent at 2:01 at 157 while freshman Tim Kuntz (Wyalusing) did the same at 149 in 4:51.

Also for the Wildcats, freshman Wade Jacobson (Alexandria, Va.) decisioned Nick Devanny 8-1 at 141. Freshman Alex Muller (Sparta, N.J.) had a grueling fight at 184 but edged out CW Sorey 7-5. Sophomore Logan Gresock (Copley, Ohio) rounds out the winners at 197 beating George Hanson 14-8.

Next up, Penn College travels to University of Scranton for the Electric City Duals on Saturday, Nov. 10 starting at 9 a.m.
