Springfield Tech Wins Northeast Conference Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – STCC men's wrestling team on Saturday became the first community college to win the National Collegiate Wrestling Association Northeast Conference Regional Championship.
Wrestlers from the men’s and women’s teams will next compete in the NCWA Nationals at Allen, Texas, which begins March 9.

The NCWA Postseason has officially started with the completion of the Conference Championship qualifiers.  The rankings have shifted quite a bit due to upsets and guys coming out of nowhere.  Which of these guys will stand on the podium come March 11th in Allen, Texas?


Grays Harbor Wins Repeats as NWC Champion

Fielding the largest team in the NCWA Northwest, Grays Harbor College used its strength at the top of the brackets and depth throughout the entire field to showcase itself at Sam Benn Gym on Saturday.


Colorado State Qualifies Seven for Nationals

The CSU wrestling team qualified seven wrestlers for the National Collegiate Wrestling Association national tournament. Colorado State came in fourth place at the Great Plains Conference Championships out of eight teams. The Rams finished behind Iowa State, Air Force Prep and Wayne State.


MIT Places 5th at NEC

The MIT wrestling team traveled to the University of New Hampshire for the Northeast Conference Championships which is the NCWA national qualifier. Five wrestlers qualified for the national tournament.


Pre-Conference Rankings Released

There was considerable movement in the NCWA Individual Rankings due to head-to-head results at both the National Duals and Western Regional Duals that saw a total of 36 NCWA squads compete from January 27-28, 2017.


MIT Goes 2-0 at the Andrew Esquivel Duals

The MIT wrestling team hosted the first annual Andrew Esquivel Duals in memory of Andrew Esquivel at MIT on Saturday, February 11th. Attending the duals were the University of Massachusetts, the University of New Hampshire and Yale University. MIT won both matches on the day defeating Yale 31 to 24 and

The 2017 NCWA Western Regional Dual Championships featured 16 teams competing for the championship title and national points at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah.

Number one seed Grays Harbor and number two seed Brigham Young University battled-it-out in an early evening championship match that featured standouts on both benches. GH Freshman David Curulla gave his team an early advantage with a first-round pin of BYU's Weston Larson in the 125 pound weight class. With his team trailing 15-2, BYU Freshman Bailey Carlson secured a technical fall over Grays Harbor.


Emmanuel College Takes First National Duals Title

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Emmanuel College parlayed a quick lead into winning five of the first six matches, and the Lions rolled on to a 33-13 win over Liberty in the championship match of the NCWA National Duals. Emmanuel College won the overall NCWA Championship (the Collegiate Cup) last season after a 5th place finish in the 2016 National Duals. Here are summaries of the NCWA National Duals quarterfinal matches: (1) Emmanuel 43, (9) Alfred State 10 Top-seeded Emmanuel College earned two pins, a forfeit and a major decision among the first five matches to race to a 25-0 lead and cruised to a 43-10 win over ninth-seeded Alfred State.
