FINAL NCWA MEN’S RANK­INGS RELEASED! WOM­EN’S RANK­INGS TO FOL­LOW LATER THIS WEEK!

The final NCWA Men's Rankings have been released. Although these rankings are not the official seeds, they do provide a good estimate as to where your favorite wrestler might land in the bracket! Seeds will be released along with a LIVE draw for the Conference Chairmen on Sunday March 6, 2022.


The rankings only include those that qualified for the NCWA National tournament. This year ~453 men and close to 80 women will head to Allen, Texas to battle for All-American honors. This requires a top-8 placement in the Men's Division and top-4 placement in the Women's Division.


Current #1 ranked wrestlers in the Men's Division are as follows:


125 - Bruno Alves (So, The Apprentice School, 16-1, MAC Champion)


133 - Dillon Messick (Jr, The Apprentice School, 24-5, MAC Champion)


141 - Garrett Good (So, Liberty University, 25-9, MAC Champion)


149 - Ty'Rae Carter (Sr, Texas A&M University, 6-0, SWC Champion, 3x National Finalist, 2x National Champion and MOW)


157 - Zachery Snyder (So, University of Toledo, 11-7, GLC Champion)


165 - David Over (So, Liberty University, 15-7, MAC Champion)


174 - Grigol Khochlashvili (Fr, Temple University, 13-0, MEC Champion, 5th at 174 in 2020)


184 - Seth Konynenbelt (Jr, Grand Valley State University, 20-3, GLC Champion)


197 - Sione Halo (So, Grays Harbor College, 9-5, NWC Champion, 4th at 184 in 2020)


235 - Jeffrey Allen (Jr, Liberty University, 21-4, MAC Champion, 2x National Champion)


285 - Frederick Weaver (Jr, Liberty University, 18-1, MAC Champion, National Runner-up in 2020)

The Division 1 (athletic department and scholarship division) team rankings have Liberty holding the #1 spot firmly with 87 points, followed by Apprentice (49), Grand Valley State (46), Grays Harbor (45) and Springfield Tech / Toledo sharing the 5th spot with 25 points. The Division 2 team race is led by THE Ohio State WC (30 pts), Iowa State WC (19), Ottawa-Arizona (18), Texas A&M (18), and East Carolina (15).


The 25th NCWA National Championship tournament begins on March 10, 2022 at the Allen Event Center in Allen, TX and runs to March 12, 2022 where the finals will be contested on an elevated stage once again! We hope to see you in Allen!
