East Carolina University Team Press Releases2013 Conference Tournament | 03/03/2013 -
In it's second year of action, ECU wrestling improved its performance in the Mid-Atlantic Conference tournament. Four ECU wrestlers made the trip: all 4 won at least a match, 3 placed, and 2 qualified for the national championships in Austin, Texas.
Sophomore Gregory Humphrey placed 2nd, improving on his 6th from last year. Steven Bass placed 7th. Billy Capps won a match by pin but did not place. Freshman Taka Kanzaki placed 3rd in the tournament.
Our team lacked numbers this year but was well-coached and ready for action. |
