Douglas Alumnus Continues to Shine on International Stage

KYIV,UKRAINE - John Pineda, who won the NCWA National Championships for Douglas College in 2005, won a Bronze medal for Canada at the Outstanding Ukranian Wrestlers Memorial in Kyiv, Ukraine this past weekend. John beat opponents from Russia, the Ukraine and Belarus on route to his strong finish.
John has been Canada's top 55kg wrestler for the past 4 years. He narrowly missed out on a qualifying spot for Canada at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
