Georgia Southern 3rd at Bear Open

Georgia Southern University took 3rd place as a team in a field of eight teams on October 31st in Macon, Georgia at the Bear Open. Even more impressive was doing so with only a partial squad of seven wrestlers.
All seven wrestlers placed in the tournament led by Brooks Pendleton at 235 and Caleb Mock at 285 each winning their weight classes. Tyler Mrozik at 149, Shawn Flanagan at 165, and Shaun Scruggs at 197 each took 2nd place in the tournament while Christopher Stewert at 149 and Hunter Smith at 197 took 3rd.
Results were very positive as the GSU Team opened its season and travel to Orlando next weekend for the UCF tournaments.
