USAFA Prep Huskies finish Seventh in the Nation; Four earn All-American status

12-14 Mar 2009 - NCWA National Championships, Hampton, VA - The Huskies turned in a solid performance at the NCWA National Championships finishing 7th in the 84-team field. The team was led by four All-Americans: Cole VonOhlen (1st at 141), Ethan Martinez (6th at 133), Tim Smell (8th at 197) and Jared Erickson (8th at 235). Additionally, Cole VonOhlen, who earned five pins in five matches and did not let up a single point during the competition, was selected by the NCWA committee as the Oustanding Wrestler of the tournament.
