NCWA Poll shows Contender Emerging

The December 1st NCWA Ranking Poll this week seems to explore the possibility that a contender is emerging that could challenge defending champion Grand Valley State this year for the National Title. Navy Prep a strong finisher last year seems to be eyeing the trophy this go round. With a strong DI recruiting class the midshipmen could sneak up on the Lakers even though they seem to be short at 125 and 235. With four #1 votes this week it seems the coaches that have seen them on the mat this year are looking for an upset in Hampton Virginia this March. Other teams emerging into the top 25 this week include new teams Cincinnati State Technical College #9 and West Chester University which made the bold move to # 14 by a strong showing last week defeating Valley Forge, Northeastern, Rensselaer Polytechnic, University of Delaware and powerhouse Northampton in head to head duals. The coaches at the event commented that "They are for real" West Chester is a first year NCWA Program coached by Joe Miller.
