The NCWA Northeast Conference Duals were hosted by Lafayette College on Sunday, November 23rd.
The event featured ten of the top teams in the NCWA Northeast Conference. teams in attendence included
University of Albany -
Rensselaer Polytech -
Northampton CC -
West Chester University -
Blair Academy -
Lafayette College -
Williamson Tech -
NortheasternUniversity -
University of Delaware -
Valley Forge Military -

The competition used a two pool format. The best records from each pool advanced to the finals, and the second best from each competed for third and forth places. The final four teams put on a great show for all in attendance. The West Chester -vs- Northampton battle in the semi's was one for the ages coming down to the final two matches. The crowd was on their feet for the entire macth-up. In the end West Chester pinned at 235 to force the heavily favored Northampton to need a pin at heavy weight, which they would not get. There by securing the victory for West Chester. The Rams are definitely a team to watch in the future. Delaware beat Williamson in their semi final match-up moving this up-and-coming team into the finals where they met the West Chester rams. The level of competition between the two teams was all you could ask for as a spectator watching the finals. It was a head-to-head battle until the late weight classes where West Chester had to forfeit twice. This secured University of Delaware as the Conference Champions. Thanks to all the fans, officials, and wrestlers for being a part of a great 2008 NCWA Northeast Conference Duals!
