Scots Home Opener Results In Two Losses, To Even Their Record At 3-3.

The Scots of Maryville College hosted the University of Georgia and Marion Military Institute on December 1, 2006.
Marior Military opened up their evening with a 49-6 victory over the University of Georgia. They then closed out the action with a solid 33-21 win over the host Scots.
Maryville came into the Tri-Meet with a 3-1 record. Posting a 4th place finish at the 1st Annual Avery Harvil Duals, a 36-6 win over Eastern Georgia, a 45-6 win over Mercer, a 35-21 loss to Kennesaw State, and a 36-20 win over Darton's "B" team. Donnie Floyd, 5th at the 2005 NCWA Nationals, was voted the Outstanding Wrestler by the coaches by recording first peroid falls through the course of the Duals.
MC will hit the road next week to wrestle at Carson-Newman and King College with a 3-3 record. A
month off from regular action, they return to the mats on January 13th at the Washington & Lee Invitational.
Head Coach, Ron "Yogi" Wilson, feels, "the team needs to get in better shape, especially those who have just come out from football and cross-country."
