The Northwest Conference finds some success at the Clackamas Open

NCWA Northwest Conference schools including Central Washington, Western Washington, Evergreen State , Douglas College and Montana Western all found the going tough with more than a dozen individuals winning matches and two place winners in Parm Dhesi at 285# winning the tournament and new comer, Terrance Maier-197# Montana Western with a 6th place finish. Parm was a 235# NCWA All American in 2013 at the National finals finishing 7th Place.
The Clackamus competition offered 156 competitors including 3 NCAA Division 1 teams, Oregon State , Boise State and Stanford. The NCWA team race with regard to the Northwest conference was led by Douglas College- 19.5 pts, namely on the strong performance of their heavy weight champion, Parm Dhesi, Montana Western- 18 pts. Followed by Central Washington- 16.50 pts and Western Washington with 2.50 pts. Evergreen State College entered one competitor who did not score points in this event. Washington State University was conspicuous by their absence from competition. Rumor has it they were training with the Seattle Seahawks for the upcoming Super Bowl.
