U of D has gone to great lengths this off season to reestablish a top NCWA team, much like the teams they provided in 2001 when they placed second nationally, 2002 six national and 2003 thirteenth nationally. With a solid group of freshman many of which are state place winners and many returning veterans the 2005-2006 season looks to be hopefully for the fighting Blue Hens. The Hens season opener is scheduled for November 12th when the Delaware squad travels north to take the mat against the Huskies of Northeastern University.
