MIT Wrestling goes 3 and 0 on the day
The MIT wrestling won all 3 matches this weekend at the Springfield Technical CC quad. MIT defeated Hudson Valley 36-18, University of Connecticut 36-18 and STCC 25-24. Captains Sam Shames and Ryan Madson both won all 3 of their matches by fall. Brian Anderson finished 3 and 0 on the day with 3 pins as well. Jake Laux was also 3 and 0 with 2 pins and a decision. New addition Anthony Souffrant was 2 and 1 on the day with a pin and Tyler Laprade was also was 2 and 1 on the day with a pin and a major decision. Tyler scored the takedown with 12 seconds left in the STCC match to get the major decision which ended up helping the Engineers pull out a 25-24 win. Bee Vang was 1 and 2 on the day with a pin. MIT improves its record to 3 and 1 as a team and will head to Dalton, Georgia to compete at the NCWA National Duals this coming weekend.
