Jespersen to Wrestle for the Wayne State Wildcats

Coach Greg Vander Weil and the Wayne State College Wrestling team are excited about Hemingford graduating senior Aaron Jespersen joining the program. Jespersen told The Ledger last week that he will be attending Wayne State College in Wayne, NE with plans to wrestle for the Wildcats. Jespersen was a four-time Nebraska High School State Tournament qualifier and amassed over 100 wins in his HHS career.

Coach Vander Weil said, “His high school success (fourth in the state), excellent work ethic and moral character will blend well with the returning wrestlers and his fellow freshman. Aaron will be looked at to fill the 125 or 133 lb weight class for the Wildcats and his future in college wrestling is very promising and we’re glad he has chosen Wayne State College for his academic career and to continue his passion for the sport of wrestling.”

Jespersen plans to pursue a degree in Construction Management and Drafting. He will attend Wayne State’s camp June 6,7,8 to start preparing for the season.
